Murnong Farming is an innovative mixed farming business located on the edge of the western district in southern Victoria at Inverleigh, just one and a half hours drive west of Melbourne.
Murnong’s properties consist of Murnong, Waverley, Yallambie and Belldale supplemented with long term leases of Waterlands and Shelleys. Our Sheep

Murnong has undertaken a number of inhouse prime lamb production trials over the past five years. This has led to an annual increase of 18% in kilos per hectare return. As an example recently scanning at 220% and weaning 167% through its innovate approach, management and record keeping.

Murnong Farming has a long history of collaboration with the farming industry with numerous trials been undertaken with universities and industry-funded bodies. Up to 3-4 different externally monitored trials take place each year by renowned organisations such as Melbourne University, RMIT, the Department of Primary Industry cropping and sheep departments, Southern Farming Systems and Precision Agriculture.
